Community Strong - Anna Woodside Scholarship recipient Kayla Anna

As a community bank, Mid Penn is proud to recognize exemplary students throughout our footprint. Just this year, we awarded $6,500 in scholarship money to deserving high school graduates. We gave this money through our annual Anna Woodside Scholarship, local Valedictorian Scholarships and by sponsoring several Best Attendance Scholarships.

Our Anna Woodside Scholarship was established in honor of the late Anna Woodside, a woman who was influential to our bank throughout her lifetime. Although attending college was uncommon for women of her generation, Ms. Woodside did attend so she could further pursue her ideal career. One of her career highlights included serving on Mid Penn Bank’s Board of Directors, where her input was very beneficial and valued. The namesake scholarship is awarded to students who embody her core values of community service, philanthropy and work ethic. This year, the bank presented the Anna Woodside Scholarship to three high school graduates.

In addition to this annual scholarship, Mid Penn Bank awarded Valedictorian Scholarships to recognize students who achieved the highest grade point average in their class. These scholarships were given at Halifax High School, Line Mountain High School, Millersburg High School, Upper Dauphin High School and Williams Valley High School. Mid Penn also sponsored Best Attendance Scholarships, which were awarded to students at Middletown Area High School and Minersville High School.

We wish the very best to the entire Class of 2017!
